Reference: Advertised with series name, for sale at Famous Barr, price $15 plus tax, in the St Louis [MO] Globe-Democrat, 25 Feb 1948, p 10; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. The clasp for the pin clip and gold Trifanium and spangles construction confirm this as a 1948 revival of the 1941 patent design - for which see Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2, p. 96; the patent reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, files Jan, granted Feb 1941; and TKF8331. The Pat Pend mark implies a new patent was being sought for the design in 1948 - none was issued, though several new designs in the 1948 Fragonard series were patented Reference Links - tkf8331
