Reference: Part of the 'Firebirds' series, advertised by Trifari in Vogue, 1 Oct 1964 p C3; the Owl, 'not shown', was priced $15 plus tax. Click thumbnail above to view advertisement. Ciro of Bond St - a British company - opened its first US branch on Fifth Ave in 1939, expanding to most major cities by the 1960s. It put its stamp on pieces manufactured for it by DuJay, Mazer, Boucher and Trifari throughout that period - see eg BOU2173, marked MB and Ciro. Construction is identical to pins marked Trifari - compare TKF4946.
