Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 184. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, filed Feb, granted March 1943. Advertised for sale at Dewees, price $19.95, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, 23 June 1944, p 5, with another Philippe bug, patented March 1944 (see TKF6893) - referring to the current Vogue; scroll down to view advertisement.
