Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 134. Patents are reproduced below (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1945. Francesca Price, Trifari - l'eleganza di uno stile, p.187, reproduction of original Trifari design gouache, dated Feb 6 1945, with the names Jon and Metze (often misread as Metje - Philippe's handwriting 'z' is characteristic).
