Reference: Mark dates this to before Dec. 1937. We have had another exmaple signed Trifari with Crown, after the change of marks. See patent for similar 'shoebutton' bracelet (scroll down); designer A Philippe, dated 1938; and Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 81 for the term shoebutton.
