Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 166, with male companion (playing maracas) and earrings; manufacturer unknown. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Grayce Norato of Providence RI, filed 25 Oct 1946, granted June 1948. Grayce T Norato (née McCormick), 'artist', was a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and resident of Providence, aged 21 when on 16 May 1945 she married Thomas D 'Tommy' Norato, age 36, also of Providence, 'musician' and 'band leader', during a summer break in Miami Beach - see The Miami [FL] News, 18 May (p 6), The Miami Herald, 18 May (p 5), 19 May (p 4), 1945.
