Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2, p. 222. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Antonio Aquilino, dated 1946-7. This is a rare example of the pin: it is signed Anthony, the company founded by the designer (the pins are usually stamped only Sterling); and the fish is behind the lucite of the bowl, exactly as shown in the patent - more common later productions have the fish embedded in the lucite, or engraved on the back of it, and enamelled.
Condition: Very good - uniform age wear to vermeil (except on the goldfish)
