Description: gold plated base metal, rhinestones. The pins are of the same construction and are clearly an original chatelaine pair.

Reference: Patents are reproduced below (scroll down); the Harlequin, designer Morris Paschman of New York, filed 19 June 1946, granted 3 June 1947; dancing girl, designer Kurt Speck, of Palisade Park NJ, assignor to Kreisler Mfg Corp. filed Oct 17 1945, granted 26 March 1946. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 164 has the Harlequin (marked Sterling), manufacturer unknown; Vol 1 p 232 on Speck, who designed for Kreisler - probably the manufacturer of this chatelaine
