Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2, pp. 160-161; the original 30s designs by Hummel were manufactured in the USA, and some patented in 1941 in the name of William Regelmann, some also marked Silson. Kathy Flood, Warman's Costume Figurals, pp. 39-42 for the origin of the series designs in the drawings of Sister Maria Hummel.
