Reference: Like the Korda 'Thief of Bagdad' and 'Jungle Book' series, this is jewelry inspired by a film - 'North West Mounted Police', 1940, directed by DeMille. Other pieces were advertised for sale at Auerbachs, identifying the manufacturer as Coro, in the Salt Lake [City UT] Tribune, 15 Dec 1940, p 24; click thumbnail above to view advertisement. The presence of the DeMille plaque and Coro signature together on this piece confirm the identification of Coro as manufacturer of the whole series.
