Reference: Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Charles E Pauzat, dated 1941. Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 p 142, later unpatented sterling duette, mentioning this design; and p 92 on the designer, originally French: 'he did not produce many designs, but the jewelry that he did produce is considered very beautiful'. Though the patent depicts the pair as level and overlapping; the duette was produced with them staggered - confirmed by Schiffer, Fun Jewelry, p 13, that example also 4" long
