Reference: Design, construction, and non-use of Sterling date this to 1940-42. Construction is similar to a patented bracelet, reproduced below (scroll down); designer Adolph Katz, dated 1940 (score lines like those in the patent are visible on the back of this bracelet) - and see Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 1 p 121 for a gold articulated bracelet dated 1941
