Description: gold plated base metal, rhinestones, enamelling, faux pearls, cabochons
Marked: D'Orlan, C
Reference: The company was founded in Toronto in 1957 by Maurice J. Bradden, originally manager of the Avon of Bellville Company Ontario. He and the firm were proteges of Marcel Boucher. The company's stock was sold off in bulk in 2006. All pieces were manufactured in Toronto, using Czech crystals. This is a high quality modern reproduction of a classic 1941 Boucher design (see BOU2027), and could have been produced at any time from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Our thanks to Deborah Kosnett, who communicated she bought a similar pin new from a major Toronto department store, in the mid to late 1990s - providing a date range. Reference Links - bou2027
