Reference: Necklace advertised by Trifari in the Ladies Home Journal, March 1948, p 220; click thumbnail above to view advertisement (no patent was issued despite the mark). For the pin clip - mark, design, construction (the plating and the anchor for the pins), and non-use of Sterling date this to 1948, when designs from the late 30s and pre-sterling 1940s were revived by Philippe and other makers.
