Description: gold and rhodium plated base metal, rhinestones, cabochon. Hands move freely. Clock was probably originally pendant from a bow carying the pin (see patent, and reference to Brunialti below).
Marked: Des Pat 122218; chain has Trifari 'T with Crown' pendant at clasp
Reference: Brunialti, pp 261-2 for the manufacturer - pin with bow is unsigned, but Markle was chief designer for Castlecliff. Patent is reproduced below (scroll down); designer Willard Markle, dated 1940
Condition: Very good - apparently converted from pin to pendant necklace; chain is probably of later date; minor wear to plating only on back
